Terms of Service
Template for founder review before launch. Last updated on publication.
1. What CertSafe is
CertSafe is a software tool that helps private landlords in England track property compliance deadlines and receive reminders. It is an information and reminder service, not legal advice.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login secure. You must be entitled to manage the properties you add.
3. No guarantee of compliance
CertSafe helps you keep track, but you remain solely responsible for meeting your legal obligations. We do not warrant that the ruleset is complete or current for your specific circumstances. See our Disclaimer.
4. Plans and billing
Paid plans are billed via Paddle, our merchant of record, who handles payment and VAT. You can cancel at any time via the customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period, after which your account reverts to the free tier with your data retained.
5. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt to breach its security, or use it to store unlawful content.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CertSafe is provided “as is” and our liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the preceding 12 months.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app.
8. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the support email listed on our site.
